Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool’s manager, startled everyone on Saturday by announcing that he will step down at the end of the English Premier League (EPL) 2023–24 season.

Klopp stated on the club’s website, “I can understand that it’s a shock for a lot of people right now when they hear it for the first time, but obviously I can explain it, or at least try to explain it.”

“I love this club, the city, our supporters, the team, and the staff. I love everything. However, the fact that I am still making this decision demonstrates that I am confident it is the right one.
“It is that I am, how shall I put it, running out of energy? I have no trouble now; I knew I would have to declare it at some point, but I am completely fine. I am aware that I will be unable to complete the task repeatedly.
“After all the time we spent together, the things we experienced together, and the years we had together, the respect and love I had for you grew, and the truth is the least I owe you,” he said at the end.
Notably, the 56-year-old guided ‘The Reds’ to another Carabo Cup Final at Wemberley, which will be played between Liverpool and Chelsea on February 25.
Liverpool’s manager joined the club on October 8, 2015. It was a choice that would transform the club and restore its status as a domestic and international powerhouse.
The club, based in North-West England, was one of Jurgen Klopp’s most decorated sides, winning the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, FIFA Club World Cup, FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and the FA Community Shield.
This club is also regarded as one of the ‘Big Six’ in the English Premier League, alongside Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur.
